Da Renee Danes is located in a small farming community in Southeast Iowa. We, are a family breeder. Our Family consists of me and my husband, Don and Dawn. We have 3 children. Donnie Jr is 19 years old, Daytin is 15 years old, and the youngest of the three is our daughter, Delayni, and she is 11. We have a Ferrit, and bobtail cats. New to our family is our Chinese Cresteds. We got our first one, "Winnie" 2 years ago, from Six Gems Kennels. We had our first litter this year, and expect to be showing them in the ring next Spring. Our breeding practices with them will be no different than it is with our Danes.
We have been involved with Danes since 1990.
Breeding for the over all Dane is very important to us. Temperment and Health are of the most importance. We want all our babies to have long and happy lives. Then we breed for conformation and color. We are ethical color breeders, which means we follow the Great Dane Club of Americas Color Code of Ethics. Mixing colors will never be done here. We never have more than 2 litters a year, and most years only one. We want to be able to enjoy our puppies, and to have time to socialize every single one of them. They are raised in our home, with our kids and all the other critters. We are aslo exhibitors, and love to hobby show our Danes. All of our puppies are health and temperment guaranteed. Any puppy sold as a companion only, will be sold with a spay and neuter agreement. I do require a signed contract on all my puppies that are place in approved homes. No puppy is sold with a full registration, meaning with unlimited breeding rights, unless they are sold on a co-ownership agreement. We have taken the time to learn about the total Dane. We specialize in behavioral issues, but we are also very knowledgable when it comes to nutrition, and health issues.
